Highlights

Winery: Albert Morot. Is a family-owned wine producer based in the central Burgundian town of Beaune, producing a number of local labels including several premier cru wines. The Albert Morot estate was originally established as a négociant business in 1820 by the eponymous Albert Morot. The company bought its first vines in the 1880s, and built its headquarters, the Château de Creusotte, in 1898.

Grapes: 100% Pinot Noir. (vol 14%)

Vinification: The vineyards are farmed using organic viticultural practices and yields are kept low. Grapes are hand-harvested and destemmed prior to vinification.

Ageing: The wines are aged in 50 percent new oak barriques for 18 months prior to being bottled without filtration.

Drinking Window: 2019 - 2030

Tasting Notes: Medium body, quite smooth, dry. Notes of strawberries, red fruits, earth, mushrooms, smoke, coffee, oak and vanilla.

Pairings: duck, goose and game birds.
